She's 11 weeks old now, so I guess I can stop counting her age in weeks (over 2 months now.) Our Paige is amazingly in the 90th percentile concerning her weight. I always thought breast-fed babies were smaller, but Paige is certainly proving that wrong. Boobie-juice has made our girl a mega-baby!
Being larger comes with certain advantages. She's stronger and holding up her head at an earlier than expected age. She consistently comforts herself by sucking her thumb. When she was less coordinated, any attempts at that would result in her smacking her face. Her ability to do this has allowed us to sleep more. We tend to wake up only once per night and somtimes we get a full eight hours of sleep. We're eating out at restaurants again. A few nudges on the car seat keeps her calm through the meal.
Of course, she's still a baby and sometimes the only thing that makes her happy is being held. That's fine by us. I don't think we can give up holding her, yet. It provides a perfect opportunity to kiss her countless times on the cheek.
